It is TIME!

As is obvious, my poor poor blog has spent nearly two years without seeing my wonderful face. However, I hope that I have found motivation!

I spent the evening watching the lovely movie  Julie and Julia which is also a lovely book by the way. This wonderful lady named Julie attempts to blog about her experience cooking every recipe in Julia Child's book Mastering the Art of French Cooking. She had something to say everyday and had a chance to learn something new.

I found myself moved, and ultimately spent the night staring at the ceiling searching the dust motes for inspiration. Having recently graduated with a Bachelors in English and  progressing now into my 17th week of pregnancy I find myself floundering each day with the ease of being lazy and the desire to learn, grow, and do! The summer is ending and I feel so incredibly bored!

With no job, no school, and pregnancy along with my dear sweet husband keeping me safely  grounded in town I am beginning to show the early signs of cabin fever. So in my rifling through my life and all the things I love to do and learn about I came up with an huge list:
Painting, Writing, Reading, Cooking, Baking, Crochet, Sewing, Gardening, Decorating, Singing, Piano, Photography, etc.
How was I supposed to choose just ONE!
So here is the official attempt at trying something new and exciting here on the inter-webs!

Each week I will make at least three blog posts each one showing my latest project in these three categories: Art, Culinary, and Literature. I will attempt to create something in art that I have yet to try or haven't practiced in a while. I will try a new recipe practicing my skills in the kitchen (All challenges accepted!). Finally I will read something, write something, or discuss something that deals directly with my love for literature.

Hopefully this will allow me to keep my talents clean and sharp as well as keep my skills sharp in my degree.
This weeks projects are: attempting to make puff pastry (from scratch), spending a day doing live sketches of animals here in town, and discuss my latest read with you (Book TBA since I am desperate need of a trip to the library).
If nothing else I know that this will be lots of fun and probably deeply satisfying. I'm always opento suggestions for my weekly challenges!
Toodles!
