A spark of Summer!

The last few months so much has happened. I hardly know where to begin. I have had to decide finally on my major which is now English: Professional Writing. I sent off my dear roommates Kiah and Rachel as they graduated this last semester. Rachelle has headed out on her mission. My dearest bestie Amanda Davis is expecting her first baby this July and last but not least I got married to the love of my life, April 13th, 2013.
I can say it's quite a bit to take in. So much change in just three months.
It all seemed to happen with some divine intervention. We all have moved on at just about the same time.
Kiah, Rachel, Rachelle, Kate, Amanda, Katie and Alanah were my brides maids. They were all such a big help. The morning of, Kate made us all breakfast while Tessica did my make up and braided my hair. Amanda did my hair and nails and drove all the way over here even though she is expecting. Kiah painted my toenails and helped me keep my sanity through that last semester. Rachel is getting married here in July so she was so excited to be part of the wedding party. Kate's father was my photographer and he did a marvelous job. I don't have the CD for those photos yet so these ones are the ones my talented Grandma took with her camera.
The ceremony was beautiful. I had to keep looking away from everyone in the sealing room because it made me want to cry to see so much of my family there. I can't explain to you the love that resides inside the temple and how powerful the feeling of coming home is. There isn't another person I would have had that experience with.
I have to say that one of my favorite parts of that day was hugging everyone. I love my family so much and getting to be with them on such a happy day was the best thing ever.
Even my Hubby's best friend was able to fly out to be there. He's the one in the hat in the back. I'll have more pictures up soon. I'm so glad Kate was able to be there. she was such a big help and I missed her so much.
My sisters are such a light in my life. I wouldn't trade them for anything ever. I miss them so much. I don't have crazy crew to go run around with everyday. I look forward to seeing them every chance I get.
His family is wonderful and I am so excited to be part of it now. His mother and father are so welcoming and supportive. I'm so happy to have them in my life now.
My grand parents were able to be there and it made me so happy to see them and hug them. My Father's dad passed away this past Christmas, but I know he was there. Especially in the the temple. I miss him so much and I hope he knows how much we love him and miss him. It's is such a comfort to know that we'll see him again and that I'm sure he didn't miss my wedding.

I hope my girls know how much I love them and how beautiful they all are. I am so happy that Tessica was able to make it and I hope she knows how much I love her. I was so very happy to have her there.

Can I just say how glad I am that he is mine and that he is such a wonderful man.
My baby Brother was so adorable in his little vest. There are a lot of good men in his family and I am so happy to be a part of it now. One of my Hubby's brothers couldn't be there because he is on his mission in Serbia but I'm sure he was there in spirit.
The reception was a huge success thanks to my wonderful mother who put so much work into preparing everything. She was truly a super mom. We had a space cleared for a dance floor and we had such a good time dancing together. All of us girls got out on the floor for the song " Girls just want to have fun"
My Aunt did the cake for us and I can't tell you how marvelous of a job she did. It was such a beautiful cake. It was made of Red Velvet cake and was so yummy.
He let me feed him first and I "Gently" stuffed the entire massive piece into his mouth and he lovingly did the same for me.
The red cake stained our teeth but it was still so yummy!
The garter got stuck on my foot while he was pulling it off. It made for prolonged embarrassment but it was fun all the same.
Our friends Spencer caught the garter and wore it on his wrist for the rest of the night. I couldn't think of a better person to get it.
I had hopes that Kiah would get the Bouquet.

But I am glad that my sister caught it. My Father wanted a re-toss he's not about ready to give away another daughter just yet.
I have to say that my favorite part of the reception was getting to go out and dance with my Daddy and new Hubby. I loved watching everyone come out and dance with there wives and daughters. There was so much love in that room that night and so much happened. I wanted to be part of everything that was going on. But with a party that big you just can't get around to everything that is happening.
There was a lot of smiles
A lot of love form all of the daddies.

And a lot of happy tears from everyone.
It was marvelous to see all the sons take their mothers out on the floor.
Since Mother's Day is coming up I thought it was fitting to put of all the Mommy love that happened at the Reception.

When we went down to California for the Open house my Hubby and his mother did the Chicken dance together as a family tradition. It was so fun and so funny. His mother is a such a wonderful lady and put so much work into that open house for us.

Watching my Daddy dance with his mom was lovely. She's such a lovely lady and my Daddy takes good care of her.

It was a beautiful day and more than I hoped for during the entire planning process.

I hope this lovely feeling of being in love and all the love of family and friends never goes away. I care about too many people to let this feeling go easily.
