Tiny Toys
You want to know something I really miss?I miss dressing up in a too huge dress with miss matched hat and shoes, gathering all my stuffed animals, and pulling out my tiny porcelain tea set to play tea party.
It's been a long time since I've host one of these extravaganzas and I really miss it.
I don't even own my tiny tea set anymore.
Isn't it interesting how we don't miss things til they are gone?
I had a squirrel toy that was full of plastic beans, who's whiskers I could pull to make them shorted on one side and longer on the other. He was one of my favorites and loads of fun to throw high into the air and catch.
I honestly have no idea what happened to him. I like to think that he became "real" like the velveteen rabbit.
Maybe he's the squirrel that has been stealing our dogs food and chewing holes in our trash can. In which case I have to sorrow for the loss of my toy, and no pity for it when my sister decides to soak it with her super soaker.
Maybe you'll find a lot of things that went missing when you unpack in that fancy new house. Hope they at least give the new college student a corner to hang out when she comes home. And, yes, I think the squirrel became real and is getting even for all that whisker pulling.
