A trip to Manti!!!

My family Went down to Manti for our crazy HUGE family reunion this passed weekend.

On our way down we made  a few pit stops which made up for all the craziness that would follow with gathering all of my insane family together.

We stopped to see the location of the Golden Spike which is the place where the transcontinental Rail Road finally came together. There were families of swallows there to gawk at all the tourists coming through.

I'm sure we made for quite the interesting site as we all filed into the visitors center.

We passed though the visitors center to the train tracks where the replicas of the two original trains stood facing each other.

My sisters took the opportunity to show their true feelings for each other.

While the rest of us took in the sites to be had.

My younger cousins had a blast wearing their new engineer hats and listening for trains with their ears to the track.

After the Golden spike, we stopped for lunch and an incredibly huge hot dog at a gas station about 20 minutes from Lagoon Amusement Park.

 Then it was time for the real fun to begin!

The Carousel is my personal favorite of any ride ever built so it was simply a must that we ride this traditional and historic ride first.

Then it was on to bigger and better things, like testing our stomachs on the tidal wave,

Gaining powers of flight on the Turn of the Century,

and finding out just how far you'll go before you lose your giant hot dog.

The roller coasters were by far the favorite though.

Ridden over and over and over until the sensation of flight stayed with us for the rest of the day.

A trip on the sky coaster tested our faith in suspension by wires along with our hope that gravity is a law we can break.

Then finally, after squishing on the scrambler,

and sucking down the biggest Icee EVER,

We collapsed in the car for another three hours.



The next morning in Manti was spent serving God in the Beautiful Monti Temple.

Worth it?

Absolutely.
